Short Stories

The Flycatcher: My first published short story, published in the Dec 2022 edition of Byline. Garrick is worried about the future of his home, his community. When the worst happens, his friends come together to help, but is it enough? Read the story here!

Team Bob: My second published short story! This piece came in second in the 2024 Lanark Lit Writing Competition. The judges described it as an “imaginative, humourous, and well-written work of dystopian eco-fiction”. Read the story here!

Micro-fiction

This world. I wrote this 100 word microfiction piece as part of a NYC Midnight contest and even though I didn’t move to the next round, I received an honourable mention and I quite like it. The story had to be a ghost story containing the word rash and the action of raising a fist. Read it here!

Daydreamer. My second 100 word microfiction piece and this time it got a 3rd place finish, moving me on to the second round! The story genre was action/adventure and we had to include the action of smiling and the word plastic. I loved this story because it embodies how I feel most days 🙂 Read it here!
